Music For The Weekend : Jack White : I'm Shakin !

Driving down Interstate 287, which takes you from New York State to New Jersey without having to drive over the George Washington bridge (the traffic can be horrendous from mid-afternoon onwards), I put on the radio. At first I thought this was something new by the Black Keys but as soon as I heard the voice I was puzzled and had to Youtube it when I got in. It's actually Jack White, and I'm Shakin is the perfect track for driving on any sunny afternoon !

Paperchase in Belfast !

We were in Belfast a couple of weekends ago, just to see what is new in the stores, and Paperchase, just across from Avoca, was stunnning. The new range of cards, notebooks, and stationery is really exciting, no wonder it was one of the busiest stores on the street. It's great to see how much innovative design has gone into the card range :

The Payolas : Eyes of a Stranger

The Payolas are from Canada, and were part of Vancouver's new wave of bands back in the eighties.  They made several albums, had several chart hits in Canada, and disbanded in 1988,. They were always on the verge of making the big international breakthrough but it never quite happened for them. This track is called Eyes of a Stranger :

Wonder Villains : Ferrari

So many good Irish bands coming through at the moment ! Wonder Villains are from Derry, they have been getting airplay on Radio 1, and this version of Ferrari was recorded for RTE show Two Tube :

Debenhams II

Fifi the poodle (home town Paris) is no longer the girl about towns fashion accessory, this year is all about the French Bulldog ! They are on lots of must have items for the home in Debenhams right now, from cushions, to lamps to cups ! So even though this year is all about everything British, the little French bulldog is a shining star :
