Alison Goode

We have had these three embroideries with us since the '90's when we were living in London, and we still keep them up where we can see them now. They are by an artist called Alison Goode and we love them. The first one is called Beaky Bobble the Bobble Bird and was done in '94, the second one is called Soggy Moggy the Orange cat and is from the same year. The one with the pig is not named and is from '92. The colours almost come out right in these pictures, they are brighter in real life, and the nice thing is they still feel so relevant now. We have searched the internet for any information on Alison Goode but we can't find anything, so if you know of her please drop us an email.  

On Trend

Clean graphic art is still very much on trend. Here is a great example of a wonderful letter set produced by Paperchase in the UK and also selling in Borders in the USA, artwork is by our very talented Melissa.

Hand drawn artwork is always in vogue in some form or other to balance out the other trends for graphic styles. Paperchase have it on the ball with this example of artwork on a journal. Artwork by Andrea.

Our Extended Family

We wanted to feature some modern day collectibles with a vintage edge. These artworks are by Anthony Pack. He has a great artistic eye for mixing vintage products with flea market finds. They all have amazing personality, movement, humour and give us great joy as art pieces. We have picked up the following pieces at a couple of different art shows, and had the opportunity to chat to Anthony too.

Featured Artist

Rachel is one of our really talented artists. Here are some of her designs that Paperchase made into cards, they have been on sale for the past year in both Paperchase in the UK, and Borders in the USA. The third card down on the left is Andrea's, it has also been on sale in the same stores.

 

Baby Product

It's a great feeling when you see your own artwork as product. Here is a Baby Scrapbook Kit that Colorbok produced, it is in Michaels craft stores in the USA, and the artwork was created by Andrea.
Colorbok also produced a journal photo album, an iron-on kit, a pregnancy journal, photoframes and boxes.
