Anthropologie Rockefeller Centre

Anthropologie always have great windows, and on our last trip to New York, we caught these at the Rockefeller Centre store. This area is very trendy and chique, with the Fifth Avenue Stores, Galleries and Restaurants being right around the corner, and Anthropologie managed to catch the ambience perfectly :

Kate Spade

Kate Spade is one of those shops that catches your eye from a distance, as you wander round the shopping mall. This one is in the Westchester Mall in upstate New York, and their use of colour and lighting is stunning. This Spring has been all about bright colours and Kate Spade took theirs in a completely individual direction :

 

 

This wall art just echoes the big splash florals that are out there this year on summer dresses ! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not a HUGE store but beautifully thought out and presented, and well worth a visit !

Manic Monday ! It Usually Is !

Another band to start making waves recently is Airborne Toxic Event.  They are from Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California and the band is known for its blend of rock music and orchestral arrangements. They have a new album out at the moment called All At Once, This track is called Numb :

McDonalds .. but not as we know it !

While driving back home from New York we took a detour through Williamsburg, and spotted a McDonald's that looked a little out of the ordinary. The interior was decorated with Americana from the fifties and the place had a great feel to it. Here are some of the photo's :

Even the tables and chairs were fifties inspired too. It wasn't quite like stepping back in time, but it was certainly a pleasant change from their usual places !

It's the 1st of June already !

This year has really gone by so fast ! We have no excuses for not updating recently except that we have just been so busy. At least the busy is all positive, and we have almost got through all the follow ups from Surtex now.

We apologise that the Followers box has been missing, but it looks like Blogger has it fixed now. 

We have been amazed at all the William & Kate merchandise over here like paperback books, hardback books, dvd's and anything British ! Virtually all the gossip magazines had a special edition just for the Royal Wedding.  We think with the Olympics coming up next year it's a great time to be British !

Surtex 2011 Update !

Thanks to everyone who came to our booth at Surtex this year. Last year was great but this show turned out to be our best ever, so all the planning and work that went into the booth was well worth it in the end !

The halloween theme really caught peoples eye this year, and the bigger booth really helped with being able to work with more people at the same time.
