Vintage and Collectibles !

Midtown Antique Mall in Stillwater, MN, is packed with antiques, but they also have a lot of what we would call Americana. It's unusual to find so many bits and pieces that the American Pickers would love, all in one place ! What makes these items so collectible is that they are from an era when everything was designed by hand, and they all seem to have an individual feel to them. Here are some of the things spotted while wandering around the store :

McDonalds .. but not as we know it !

While driving back home from New York we took a detour through Williamsburg, and spotted a McDonald's that looked a little out of the ordinary. The interior was decorated with Americana from the fifties and the place had a great feel to it. Here are some of the photo's :

Even the tables and chairs were fifties inspired too. It wasn't quite like stepping back in time, but it was certainly a pleasant change from their usual places !
