Crate & Barrel - A Splash of Colour 2

Here are the rest of the Crate & Barrel photo's, the products there for the home are always so creative and decorative, and the colours really made them stand out this season. It is always very safe to keep everything neutral, but with all these amazing colours, there is really no excuse not to make a statement in the home !

Crate & Barrel - A Splash of Colour !

Following on from all the great prints in Anthropologie, another store that has looked amazing this Spring has been Crate & Barrel. You walk into their store at the moment and it is just an explosion of solid colours. A vibrant mix of orange, lime green, vivid blue, yellow, and red, that are all mixed up with selected prints on different items throughout the store. These prints also contain hints of subtle, softer, contrast colours too, which makes it much easier to mix in statement pieces like hand crafted pottery etcetera.

Scotts Antique Market & Anthropologie 2

The weekend came and went ! We did get to Scotts Antiques Market on Saturday, it's just off the 285 in  in the Atlanta Exposition Centre, to the south east of Atlanta. It is a huge event and happens on the second weekend of every month. The weather is USUALLY clear blue skies and sun, so apart from the two main halls, there are a lot of vendors outside selling house reclamation and architectural bits and pieces ! It is best to get there early in the morning to do the outside bit because it gets so HOT later in the day ! We have found quite a lot of pieces that we like, and we've had a lot fun bartering with the vendors for the things we really want !

Anthropologie

While on the Anthropologie theme, they have some gorgeous fabrics and pottery for the home in store at the moment. The colours are hot n spicy and there is definitely a Middle Eastern theme going on. Tucked away in a few of the nooks and crannies in the store, are one off handmade pieces of pottery too. Check out the Owls in the photo's !

Anthropologie Rockefeller Centre

Anthropologie always have great windows, and on our last trip to New York, we caught these at the Rockefeller Centre store. This area is very trendy and chique, with the Fifth Avenue Stores, Galleries and Restaurants being right around the corner, and Anthropologie managed to catch the ambience perfectly :

Kate Spade

Kate Spade is one of those shops that catches your eye from a distance, as you wander round the shopping mall. This one is in the Westchester Mall in upstate New York, and their use of colour and lighting is stunning. This Spring has been all about bright colours and Kate Spade took theirs in a completely individual direction :

 

 

This wall art just echoes the big splash florals that are out there this year on summer dresses ! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not a HUGE store but beautifully thought out and presented, and well worth a visit !

Manic Monday ! It Usually Is !

Another band to start making waves recently is Airborne Toxic Event.  They are from Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California and the band is known for its blend of rock music and orchestral arrangements. They have a new album out at the moment called All At Once, This track is called Numb :
