Stephanie Thannhauser

I was looking back through Steph's paperwork today because I was sure she had been with us about 10 years, but in October this year she will have been with us for 12 years ! We sold her first print on the 8th of October 2002, and our first ever show that year was Indigo in Paris, we were stuck in a corner at the back of Hall 5 at the Parc Des Expositions, Paris. We came back to Indigo the following year and that was the year we got our first agents in the US, which was a very exciting time for us.
Steph always has a lot going on apart from doing prints for us, and she also runs her own blog at http://www.ric-rac-uk.blogspot.com. Her style is very much her own, fun cute characters and icons, and modern floral prints that always stand out in the print collection.
This is Stephs Bio Page from our original Cinnamon Joe Studio website. I can still look at the this site and laugh at the character antics, though we do have an exciting brand new website coming up in the summer, that is going to feature many of the artists who are with us now.

Over the years Stephs prints have sold to all sorts of clients from Fisher-Price to Toys R Us, and American Greetings to Paperchase, her artwork does lend itself very well to greeting cards. 

12 years Steph, there wasn't even broadband back when we started ! 

An Irish Treasure : Foy Vance

Don't know an awful lot about Foy Vance except that he is Irish and has an amazing voice. It's been ages since he had an album out, Hope was excellent and now there is Joy Of Nothing. Having checked on Youtube he did some sessions at the Bushmills Distillery which is only about 30 miles from where we live - having heard the music it would have been to great to be there ! Tallest Man On Earth

As Monty Python used to say : And now for something completely different ...

Kristian Matsson a.k.a. The Tallest Man On Earth ! No he's not a freaky circus act, he is a song writer and guitar player. In music, as there is in design, there are innovators, and there are imitators. This guy just goes his own way and pushes boundaries,  and has a voice that sounds like it's on the edge of a breakdown.

His music is not an instant must have, but listen to it enough and it just grabs hold of you.

This track is called Revelation Blues, the comparisons to early Bob Dylan are inevitable just because of his voice, but this is the Tallest Man On Earth, right here, right now ...

So much good music out there at the moment, you just have to hunt it down :) !

I just got into Cleveland from Atlanta, and it's snowing ! Everyones waiting for Spring to arrive ! 

Passenger : Let Her Go

A year ago Passenger was busking with his mate in Amsterdam to 5 people on the street, and getting in punch ups !
What a long way he's come in 12 months, singing on his own in front of thousands of people at Pinkpop and they love him !

Ray Lamontagne (We haven't been away, it was all an illusion :) !

It seems like forever since Ray Lamontagne released a new album, but there is one on the way ! It's actually ten years this year since he released his first album Trouble, which has since become a classic.
The good thing is his fifth album is due out on the 6th of May titled Supernova, and it is produced by Dan Auerback of the Black Keys. Can't wait !

Willy Mason is an American singer songwriter from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. He's recently completed his own sell out tour of the UK, as well as supporting Ben Howard, and will be performing at the Mumford & Sons 'Gentleman of the Road' festivals in the USA during 2013.
